Written to be read. Where a clause could be said plainly or legally, we have said it plainly and accepted the risk.
My Spiritual Circles lists gatherings, retreats, classes and spaces offered by independent facilitators, organizers and venue hosts. We introduce people to each other and handle the booking and the payment. We do not employ facilitators, set their curriculum, supervise their practice, or verify that any teaching is safe or effective for you personally.
This matters practically: when you book, your agreement about what will happen in the room is with the facilitator. Our agreement with you is about the platform working, the money being correct, and there being somewhere to go if it does not.
One account may hold any combination of four roles — seeker, facilitator, space host and organizer — and the obligations attach to the role, not the person. When you attend, section 3 applies to you. When you teach, section 4 does. Most people here are more than one thing and we have written accordingly.
You are responsible for your own body and your own decisions. Tell the facilitator about pregnancy, injury, recent surgery, heart conditions, epilepsy, or anything a strong breath practice could affect — the booking form asks, and what you write goes only to them. If you are being treated for a medical or psychiatric condition, speak to your own clinician before beginning intensive practice.
You may leave any practice at any moment, without explanation and without anyone asking why. If a facilitator makes that difficult, that is a reportable breach of the code in section 6.
Reviews may only be written by someone who registered and attended. Write what happened and what you felt; do not write anything you know to be untrue. We will not remove a review because a facilitator dislikes it, and we will remove one that names a third party or discloses what someone else shared in a circle.
You warrant that you are competent to lead what you list, that your training claims are true, and that you hold whatever insurance and permissions your jurisdiction requires. Describe the practice honestly, including anything physically or emotionally demanding, and state the level plainly.
You must not promise to cure illness, advise anyone to stop prescribed treatment, or present yourself as a medical or psychological practitioner unless you are one and say so. You must not pursue a romantic or sexual relationship with someone attending your gathering, and where such a relationship already exists you should not be that person’s facilitator.
You keep your own students. There is no exclusivity, no penalty for teaching elsewhere, and no restriction on contacting people who have attended — beyond the obvious one that they consented to hear from you.
The whole arrangement is one rate with no additions.
The price a seeker sees is the price they pay. Payouts reach the facilitator’s account within three working days of a gathering ending, or on the schedule they choose. When a facilitator refunds someone, our 9% is refunded with it — we do not keep a fee on money that was returned.
Facilitators set their own cancellation terms and those terms are shown on the listing before anyone pays. Two things override them: we will refund you ourselves while investigating a safety report, and we will refund you if a gathering is canceled by the facilitator or does not take place. See the refunds page for the full picture.
Taxes are the facilitator’s own responsibility. We report what we paid you and provide exportable records; what you owe, and where, is between you and your accountant.
Everyone accepts this on joining. Breaking it removes you from the platform.
Any gathering or person can be reported in two taps, from the listing or from your record of it. A named person on the safety team reads every report the day it arrives, working from a queue that records every decision and cannot be edited afterwards.
You hear the outcome in writing within 24 hours and again when the case closes. Depending on what we find we may add a condition to a listing, require a change, suspend a facilitator while we look further, or remove them permanently. Where a report describes something criminal we will say so plainly and support you in taking it to the police; we are not a substitute for them.
Verified means a government document matched the profile name and a bank account in that same name exists — it is required before any paid listing. Trained means we have seen a certificate, the body that granted it, and the year. The gathering count is simply what someone has held here.
None of this is a judgment about whether a person is a good teacher or safe for you specifically. A badge is evidence, not a guarantee, and we would rather say so than let you assume otherwise. What a badge actually means →
We collect what running the service requires: your name and email, what you booked, what you paid, what you wrote, and ordinary technical logs. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not tell anyone what you practise. The privacy page shows exactly who can see what.
You can export everything we hold, correct anything wrong, and delete your account. Deleting removes your profile, listings, messages and practice log; we keep the minimum financial records the law requires, and reviews you wrote remain but are anonymised. If people are registered for something of yours, we tell them and refund them first.
We are liable for our own failures — money handled wrongly, data mishandled, the platform not doing what we said. We are not liable for injury, distress or loss arising from a practice led by an independent facilitator, whose competence and insurance are theirs. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
Spiritual practice can bring up strong material. That is often the point, and it is not by itself a failure of the platform or the facilitator. It becomes our concern when someone was misled about what would happen, or was not looked after when it happened.
Our free QR-code maker and mysc.link short links are offered as a courtesy, including to people who host elsewhere. QR codes are generated in your browser and are yours to use freely. A short link, however, must never be used for spam, phishing, malware, deceptive redirection, or anything unlawful or harmful. We record the email used to create each link, and we may disable any link — or switch the shortener off entirely — at any time, without notice, at our discretion. Links exist to serve the community, not to obscure where they lead.
If we change anything material we will tell you at least 30 days beforehand, say what changed in plain words, and keep the previous version readable. Continuing to use the platform after that means accepting it; if you would rather not, you can export your data and leave with nothing owed.
