The seed of My Spiritual Circles was planted during a period of profound change, deep spiritual inquiry, and intense entrepreneurial work. Frequent business travel created an unexpected challenge. In a familiar city, conscious gatherings were easy to discover — meditation circles, sound healings, yoga classes, sacred ceremonies, transformational workshops, trusted teachers — all woven into the fabric of local life. Invitations arrived naturally.
But in an unfamiliar city, the landscape was entirely different. Evenings were often spent alone in hotel rooms and lobbies, searching through scattered websites and community boards for something nourishing to attend. Spiritual events were certainly taking place — but there was no simple way to find them. The opportunity for connection existed, yet the pathway to it remained hidden.
From that experience, a question emerged.
What if anyone, anywhere in the world, could easily discover conscious events, spiritual communities, sacred spaces, and transformational experiences nearby?
The deeper the idea was explored, the clearer its possibilities became. Easy access to meaningful experiences could shape the choices people made — especially while travelling, relocating, or passing through periods of loneliness and transition. Instead of an evening isolated in a hotel, a person could find a meditation, a ceremony, a healing circle, a welcoming community.
And at the same time, teachers, healers, facilitators, retreat leaders, studios and conscious organisations could reach the very people already searching for what they offered. The vision was simple yet expansive: help seekers find the right experiences, and help those who serve become visible to the people who need them.
The earliest version began modestly — a website and a Facebook community. Ideas multiplied into hundreds of features: global event discovery, facilitator profiles, community reviews, trusted resources. The community responded organically. Facilitators shared their events, members spread the word, and the first circles of participation formed.
Progress continued, but more slowly than the vision required. And then came an extraordinary turning point.
The website and its server failed, and even the backups could not be recovered. That same day, the Facebook page — by then followed by more than ten thousand people — was unexpectedly deleted.
What had taken years to gather seemed to disappear almost overnight. Yet the idea itself remained.
The vision entered a new chapter through a collaboration with a gifted analytical mind who immediately recognised its potential. It began to evolve beyond a simple directory into something more sophisticated — a smarter way to match people to the experiences, teachers and communities truly meant for them, built on trust and genuine relevance rather than chance.
Two more kindred spirits joined, each having independently imagined something remarkably similar. Together the group entered a rich season of planning, research, design and development. The project moved through several names; a working proof of concept emerged within months, and a functioning platform not long after. The welcoming of early participants began.
But life has its own rhythms. There was not yet a sustainable source of revenue; infrastructure costs rose, responsibilities deepened, and the people involved were gradually called in different directions. Without any single moment of closure, the project slowly dissolved into the background. Still, the vision did not disappear.
Another determined effort began. A technology agency was engaged to build the platform end to end — elegant, contemporary, aesthetically refined. Once again it came remarkably close to launch. And once again, a convergence of seemingly unrelated circumstances brought it to a standstill just before it could be shared with the world.
The original domain was lost. Recovering it met with prohibitive demands, and an alternative name was adopted. Then, unexpectedly, the original domain became available again and was reclaimed — the doorway reopened, but the resources to walk through it were no longer present. More years passed. The domain expired once more and slipped beyond ordinary recovery. And still, the idea continued to return.
Some visions arrive as passing inspiration. Others behave more like a calling.
Recently, My Spiritual Circles returned with renewed clarity and a quiet but unmistakable message: the time had come to carry the vision beyond the threshold and finally bring it into the world.
The result is the platform now taking shape — a living, global home for spiritual discovery, conscious connection, sacred gatherings, transformational learning, and community service. It is more than an events platform. It is an evolving ecosystem where people, teachings, practices, places and possibilities can find one another.
At its heart is a commitment to service. The platform is meant to benefit the communities that give it life. As it grows, the resources it generates are envisioned as nourishment for that greater circle — improving the platform, expanding access, supporting conscious facilitators and community initiatives, and extending meaningful help to regions and people in need.
Its purpose is not simply to catalogue spiritual activity, but to strengthen the invisible threads that connect us: awareness, compassion, belonging, service, healing, and shared awakening.
A circle interrupted, but never broken. A vision delayed, but never abandoned. And a community whose time has finally come.
Wherever someone may be in the world, the path to a meaningful circle should never be far away.
