About this gathering
An Ugadi Retreat for New Beginnings in Love — for those preparing to meet love, those choosing one another again, and those ready to begin differently.
From April 6–14, 2027, we gather among the ancient olive groves of Puglia for a nine-day immersion into renewal, conscious relationship and the courage to begin again. The retreat opens during Ugadi, the Vedic New Year, and concludes at Mesha Sankranti, the threshold of the Solar New Year. We begin with intention and close with embodiment.
Between these two beginnings we explore what it means to release the relationship patterns of the past, renew the relationship within ourselves, and create a more conscious foundation for the love that comes next. You may arrive as an individual or with your partner.
The primary teachings, morning practices, rituals, meals and ceremonies are shared by the whole group; certain sessions then offer two parallel pathways — an individual pathway and a couples pathway. All partner practices are invitational, fully clothed and consent-based, with an individual alternative always offered. No previous experience is required. This is a spiritual and educational retreat — not matchmaking, and not couples counselling.

The days
1Day 1
Day One — The Threshold (Tue 6 Apr) · Arrival and completion of the old cycle. Settling into the land, the opening circle at sunset, a fire ceremony for the completed cycle, and personal sankalpa. Our first act is not manifestation — it is completion.
2Day 2
Day Two — Ugadi: The First Dawn (Wed 7 Apr) · New Year ceremony and sacred intention. Morning sadhana, mantra for new beginnings, and the six tastes of Ugadi Pachadi as a living map of relationship. Each participant creates a sankalpa for the retreat and the year ahead.
3Day 3
Day Three — The Relationship We Inherited (Thu 8 Apr) · Family patterns, ancestral imprints and unconscious agreements. Mapping what we absorbed about love, releasing inherited vows, and Sat Nam Rasayan for ancestral awareness. What is inherited may be honoured without being repeated.
4Day 4
Day Four — The Relationship with Self (Fri 9 Apr) · Inner masculine, inner feminine and self-belonging. Ida, Pingala and the central channel; boundaries without withdrawal; embodied polarity. Becoming the place within yourself you have been seeking through another.
5Day 5
Day Five — Meeting Again (Sat 10 Apr) · Attraction, projection and conscious recognition. Chemistry versus compatibility, eye-gazing and witnessing practices, and meeting what is actually present rather than what we expect to find.
6Day 6
Day Six — Truth That Creates Intimacy (Sun 11 Apr) · Communication, transparency and emotional safety. Speaking truth without punishment, listening without defence, rupture and repair, and Naad as sacred listening.
7Day 7
Day Seven — Desire and the Living Current (Mon 12 Apr) · Polarity, sensuality and sacred life-force. Desire as information rather than compulsion; consent as a living conversation. All practices invitational, fully clothed, with individual alternatives.
8Day 8
Day Eight — The Future We Are Ready to Build (Tue 13 Apr) · Relationship architecture and new agreements around time, home, prosperity, practice and purpose — and preparing the First Dawn vow.
9Day 9
Day Nine — The Solar Beginning (Wed 14 Apr) · Consecration, commitment and departure at the threshold of the Solar New Year. Sunrise sadhana, personal and couples vows, olive-oil anointing, closing circle and departure.

Puglia is a land of limestone, sea winds, red earth and ancient olive trees whose trunks twist, divide, hollow and regenerate. In spring the landscape carries the energy of renewal — new leaves from ancient wood, lengthening light. Some sessions take place beneath the olive trees; others in the retreat practice space. (The specific property is being finalised; the name, room details and photographs will be added here before booking opens.)

Common questions
Do I need to attend with a partner?
No. The retreat is designed for individuals and established couples alike. Sacred Union begins as an inner relationship and does not depend on relationship status.
Is this a singles matchmaking retreat?
No. The purpose is not to match participants. Individuals explore relationship readiness, self-belonging, discernment and the inner foundations of conscious partnership.
Is this couples therapy?
No. It is a spiritual and educational immersion. It may support greater awareness and communication, but does not replace psychotherapy or couples counselling.
Will there be sexual practices?
No explicit sexual activity is part of the retreat. We may explore attraction, desire, sensuality and life-force through teaching, breath, movement and carefully bounded, fully clothed practices.
Will I be required to touch another participant?
No. Consent is central. Every practice is explained before it begins, and participation remains a choice, with an individual alternative always available.
Is previous yoga experience required?
No. Practices are guided with appropriate variations. Please tell the retreat team in advance about injuries, pregnancy or health conditions.
