About this gathering

Ashtanga Yoga is more than a physical practice. It is a journey of self-discovery, where breath, movement and awareness come together.

In this two-hour masterclass, we will explore the fundamental principles of traditional Ashtanga Yoga, moving beyond the physical āsana to discover the deeper essence of the practice.

We will begin with pranayama, cultivating a deeper connection with the breath and exploring its role in bringing steadiness and clarity to the mind.

Through a mindful āsana practice, we will explore breath, bandha, drishti and vinyasa, learning how these elements work together to create a moving meditation.

We will conclude with seated meditation, allowing the body to settle and the mind to become still.

Whether you are new to Ashtanga or wish to deepen your understanding, this masterclass will offer the foundations to develop a more conscious, personal and sustainable practice.

It is also an introduction to the Mysore method, where each student gradually builds their own practice with individual guidance, at their own pace.

No need to know the sequence. No need to be advanced. Just come with curiosity.

One breath at a time. One āsana at a time.
